Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress famous for her character Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk played a role as a young actress in commercials. She received a Bachelor's of Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in the early days: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she was introduced to during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors training. The couple got married in December of 2009 following a civil ceremony. After she had converted to Judaism the couple renewed their wedding vows at a Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011, in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in May 2016. Silk has played a range of roles on television, among them Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win a Gemini Award in 2009 for her performance. In 2009 she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk got pregnant in the course of production of the final season episode and broke the news to viewers of the show in an episode of the Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 to announce that she's ready to go back to working. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the production of the fourth season. CNN Cable News Network named Bo together with Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the same-sex couple on Lost Girl to be one of their top TV Couples ever. E! Magazine declared the couple as one of the Top TV Couples in 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk, as a result its growing popularity on social networks has grown to a huge internet following.
